How to use?

“Medex Causaal Deodorant” is easy to apply. You simply stop using your regular deodorant 24 hours before applying “”Causaal Deodorant”” for the first time. In the beginning you might need to apply it more frequently in order to build up a certain body odour protection level, suppressing an excess of stubborn microbes, e.g. use it every other day. Always clean the places you want to treat (e.g. underarms and/or feet), then gently apply a small amount – the size of a big rice grain or a small pea – to the skin (or hair) with your fingertip without rubbing the cream in, to ensure that the pores remain open. Another effective method is to take the correct amount with the index finger of the spatula and apply it in one movement as a white line under the armpit. Then, just leave it there and do not touch it again.
For your feet, apply between the toes, underneath the toes and on the arch of the foot, only. Do not use any other deodorant or antiperspirant while using “”Causaal Deodorant””. Always close the jar after use. Leaving the jar open might decrease the deodorant’s effectiveness.”

The beneficial action of Arnica is used since time immemorial with injuries as an anti-inflammatory and blood circulation stimulating remedy. In the Netherlands the plant Arnica Montana only grows in the province of Drenthe. In Germany there are more places where Arnica can be found. The German name for Arnica is “Wohlverleih” (“Well doing”), which indicates very well what it is used for since very long: i.e. treatment and soothing of wounds, bruises and inflammations: dried flower heads were used directly for gunshot wounds. The Dutch name “valkruid” also has to do with these kind of applications, i.e. “to be used after falling down”. In the literature the following indications are found for external use: bruises, superficial wounds (still with intact skin), muscular pains and arthritis.

This is one of the active ingredients in German camomile, which elicits skin calming and anti-inflammatory effects. The natural stereoisomer (-)-Alpha-Bisabolol appears to be the most powerful of those. Alpha-Bisabolol also holds antibacterial and antimycotic characteristics against several commensal bacteria and fungi, like streptococci, staphylococci, candida albicans en dermatofytes.

"Marigold
Natural extract with soothing and antibacterial properties. Calendula Officinalis is also known under the name “Marigold”. The name Calendula probably comes from the Latin word Calendae, which means the first day of every month, because the Calendula blooms for many months in a row. The positive soothing effect of Calendula Officinalis on the skin has been reported since the twelfth century. Two esters of the component Faradiol play an important role, namely the myristate (C14) and the palmitate (C16) ester. Faradiol is a triterpene diol that is mainly found in the Calendula as an ester of higher fatty acids."

Coconut oil contains a large amount of the active ingredient lauric acid. Lauric acid occurs naturally in breast milk, where it has an antimicrobial effect, among other things. In the body, this free lauric acid is converted into "monolaurin". This monolaurin is capable of dissolving the outer layer of certain bacteria, causing the micro-organism to break down and die.

Pigment with astringent qualities. Is also fungicidal. Zinc (obtained from zinc salts) also has a beneficial effect in the treatment of acne. Micronized variants of zinc oxide are used as UV-filter, due to their capacity to reflect sun radiation.

Moisturising molecule with an 8 carbon atom tail. Owes its moisturising properties to the 2 Hydroxyl groups (-OH) plus the ester-group. Under special circumstances Glyceryl Caprylate has a distinguished anti-bacterial (and also preservative) effect, which enables the formulation of very mild skin care products, that even show activity against certain skin problems in which micro-organisms are involved, such as acne.

Mild foam builder of vegetable origin, with exceptional tolerance towards the skin. Respects the natural balance of the skin.

Natural emulsifier with advanced antibacterial properties. Supports the skin barrier and is also anti-irritant.
