Suitable for all skin types. Also for delicate, dehydrated and dry skin.
To be used in the morning and evening after cleansing and before applying the day or night cream, or after the mask, when a mask is used . You are advised to use “Lotion Fragilis” in the final stage of the treatment to repair the skin’s pH-value. By regularly treating your face with “Lotion Fragilis”, for example after cleansing it with “Lait Elure”, even the most problematic skin will be well taken care of.
Geranium (Pelargonium Graveolens / Odorantissimum) has a wonderful fragrance, is fungicidal / anti-bacterial and also spasmolytic (relaxing).
"Vegetable Glycerin
Glycerin is a small molecule that attracts water and binds it. These characteristics also make it a valuable ingredient for the Natural Moisturing Factor, which is responsible for the natural moisture balance in the skin.
At the end of the 18th century, long before the petrochemical industry was formed by mankind, the German Carl Wilhelm Scheele produced Glycerin for the first time in history by the saponification of olive oil. Although many changes were made ever since, the production process of gaining vegetable Glycerin from natural oil basically remained unchanged. Only the demands with respect to purity were optimized according to the latest pharmaceutical bench marks. In other words, this means that Medex created its products with pure, vegetable Glycerin."
L-Lactic Acid is an Alpha-hydroxy acid, which can be found in several kinds of fruit, like tomatoes and dairy products, like yoghurt. L-Lactic Acid is a natural stereo-isomer which also exists in the human body. Has a peeling effect, when used in higher concentrations. Stimulates the production of new cells in the epidermis. When compared to other alpha-hydroxy acids, L-Lactic Acid shows the best results in the treatment of hyperpigmentation of the skin (for instance glycolic acid is much less successful). L-Lactate derivatives (L-Lactic Acid) belong to the few natural substances, which - in higher concentrations - are known to counteract the production of the enzyme Tyrosinase itself. Tyrosinase happens to be the enzym which stimulates pigmentation of the skin, so by disabling that enzyme, the first step towards pigment production is simply ‘nipped in the bud’. Furthermore, L-Lactic Acid is responsible for the biosynthesis of ceramides in the skin, in a stereoselective way. High amounts of ceramides in the epidermis support the lipid barrier, which prevents dehydration of the skin. Curiously enough, the stimulation of the ceramide-biosynthesis only occurs on account of the natural stereoisomer L-Lactic Acid.
Niacinamide, Vitamin B3, takes care of the ceramide synthesis in the skin, strengthening the skin barrier in a natural way by creating lamellar lipid layers. Therefore naturally moisturizing the skin. Also improves the skin's defense. In case of Vitamin B3 deficiency, the skin will look very bad after a while (called "Pellagra").
Sodium Lactate is a small salt-like molecule which binds water to itself and holds it in place. These characteristics also make it a valuable ingredient to the Natural Moisturing Factor, which is responsible for the natural moisture balance in the skin.
