"Crocus – growth factors
For the skin, growth factors are import switches in the communication between epidermis and dermis. Such growth factors are produced by keratinocytes, after which these growth factors are transported to the dermis by the process of “diffusion”. By doing so, the epidermis is sending so to speak “informative letters” to the dermis, about the condition of the epidermis, with the “strong advise” to take measures, e.g. when the skin has been under the influence of stress (like UV-radiation) or when there’s a little wound. Very recently was discovered that the decreasing production of growth factors is an important sign of skin ageing. For people who are smoking and/or being exposed to the sun very much, this negative effect is many times stronger.
How are growth factors stimulated again in the skin?
The first phase exists of the stimulation of the easily accessible keratinocytes, under the influence of the most active parts of the Crocus. The second phase is the elevated production of growth factors by the keratinocytes, after which the growth factors will penetrate the dermis, by the natural diffusion process. This is how the dermal – epidermal communication system of the skin is used in an optimal way."
This is one of the active ingredients in German camomile, which elicits skin calming and anti-inflammatory effects. The natural stereoisomer (-)-Alpha-Bisabolol appears to be the most powerful of those. Alpha-Bisabolol also holds antibacterial and antimycotic characteristics against several commensal bacteria and fungi, like streptococci, staphylococci, candida albicans en dermatofytes.
Very powerful UV-A-filter, that meets the highest requirements, e.g. because of its well-established photostability, which means that the filter itself will not be broken down under the influence of sun light. UV-A radiation of the sun doesn’t actually cause sun-burning or reddish skin, however it can cause sun allergy and unwanted skin ageing. That’s why it is of great importance to filter UV-A radiation. This filter brings UV-A radiation to a halt.
Very powerful UV-B-filter, that meets the highest requirements, e.g. because of its well-established photostability, which means that the filter itself will not be broken down under the influence of sun light. UV-B is responsible for, among other things, the sun-burning of the skin and the ensuing red colour. This UV-B filter opposes these phenomena.

Stable form of D-alpha-Tocopherol: the natural variant of vitamin E: 100% natural and 100% active. This antioxidant protects the lipids of the cell membranes. It therefore counteracts the symptoms of skin ageing. It also has a positive effect on the moisture balance and microcirculation."
