After shaving, “After Shave Balsam” by Medex can be applied. Never use products containing too much alcohol (most after shaves do, but this is bad for most skin types!). If you use it because of its nice smell, it is much more sensible to use “Gentleman’s Exclusive Eau de Toilette” by Medex. “After Shave Balsam” contains no alcohol and is enriched with ingredients that remove the burning sensation after shaving, and have a soothing and anti-microbial action to the skin, containing witch hazel.
Allantoin has a positive influence on the moisture balance in the skin. It's also keratolytic and stimulates regeneration of epidermic tissue, making the skin smoother and softer. Is mainly derived from wheat germs, the bark from a chestnut tree and from comfrey.
