"Ylang Ylang
Natural oil, extracted from the blossoms of the tree Cananga Odorata (Ylang Ylang), which grows in Indonesia and the Philippines. The oil has a surprisingly pleasant fragrance. In aromatherapy, the oil is used for its soothing properties. On the skin, it balances the production of sebum and can be used for both dry and oily skin. In the Philippines, the oil from Cananga Odorata is used as a hair care and protection oil, e.g. against the effects of salt water."
Moisturising molecule with 8 carbon atoms. Owes its moisturising properties to the two Hydroxyl groups. Under special circumstances it has a distinguished preservative effect, which enables the formulation of very mild skin care products, that even show activity against certain skin problems in which micro-organisms are involved, such as acne and dandruff.
